Knitted sofa throw

Over the winter months I fancied doing a long but easy project. Something to keep my hands warm. And so, after I finished my owl sweater, I found myself once again on the marvellous New Lanark Wool website and went a bit clicker happy. And the outcome? A throw in lovely bright but natural shades that covers my two-seater sofa. And as it is proper wool, the throw is cuddly and warm when it’s cold but not overly warm when it is more temperate.

I knitted six narrow blocks with a simple cable knit pattern and then sewed the six lengths together. The throw now has a patchwork feel to it. As the dogs sit on it as well as I, the throw has got a bit hairy, but we all love it…
